What is Ziploc® Fresh Shield®?
Ziploc® Fresh Shield® is a new redesigned bag film that blocks out air and locks in freshness.
Is it FDA approved?
All Ziploc® Brand consumer products meet all FDA food contact regulations and are safe to use for microwave reheating, room temperature, and freezing.
Will this make the bag look/feel any different than before?
No, the bag should look and feel very similar.
Are Ziploc® Fresh Shield® Bags recyclable?
Ziploc® Brand Bags are made from Polyethylene Plastic Resin #4. It is recyclable in the few communities that accept Polyethylene Plastic Resin #4. The outer box is made from recycled paperboard (minimum 35% post-consumer content) and is recyclable.
Can I use Ziploc® Fresh Shield® Bags in the freezer?
Yes.
Can I use Ziploc® Fresh Shield® Bags in the microwave?
Yes, for reheating or defrosting as long as you vent the bag 1 inch
Can I reuse Ziploc® Fresh Shield® Bags?
No. Ziploc® Fresh Shield® Bags are designed for one time use only to avoid cross contamination.
