Will this make the bag look/feel any different than before?
Yes. The zipper seal now has a new texture to allow you to better feel the bag close.
Are Ziploc® Brand Bags with the Smart Zip™ seal recyclable?
Ziploc® Brand Bags are made from Polyethylene Plastic Resin #4. It is recyclable in the few communities that accept Polyethylene Plastic Resin #4. The outer box is made from recycled paperboard (minimum 35% post-consumer content) and is recyclable.
Can I use Ziploc® Brand Bags with the Smart Zip™ seal in the freezer?
Yes.
Can I use Ziploc® Brand Bags with the Smart Zip™ seal in the microwave?
Yes, for reheating or defrosting as long as you vent the bag 1 inch
Can I reuse Ziploc® Brand Bags with the Smart Zip™ seal?
No. Ziploc® Brand Bags with the Smart Zip™ seal are designed for one time use only to avoid cross contamination.
What is the Ziploc® Smart Zip™ seal?
The Ziploc® Smart Zip™ seal is a new redesigned zipper that actually lets you hear and feel the seal forming one continuous lock to block out air and protect your food.
Is it FDA approved?
All Ziploc® Brand consumer products meet all FDA food contact regulations and are safe to use for microwave reheating, room temperature and freezing.
