I love Ziploc containers!!! I use them to keep my smaller ornaments from shifting all over the larger box I keep them in going up in the attic & back down every year. the container keeps them all together and safe for the next christmas season..thanks ziploc!!!!

Today I was taking down our christmas decorations. I always have a challenge with storing the lights because of them getting tangled and broken when I thought of storing each strand in its own gallon bag. To my surprise each strand fit perfectly and also made organizing each storage box very easy. I liked how well the lights were stored I also put each strand of garland in their own bag. Thank you Ziploc.

A new family tradition for us is to utilize Ziploc Bags as Santa bags for our family Christmas party. We put each Child’s name on their bag, let them use markers to decorate it, and after they have played with their gifts we collect everything into their Santa bag.

When I get ideas for making cards but I might not have time to make the project, I put the pieces in a Ziploc Bag with instructions or a website link. I make notes on the outside of each bag with measurements, names of paper colors, etc. Also, after I take a card class, I keep the examples and instructions in a ziploc.

This year everyone is talking about brining the Thanksgiving turkey. The instructions say to "soak the turkey in a clean 5 gallon bucket". Once the turkey is in the bucket, where am I going to put it to keep the turkey cold?? I live in Hawaii! A co-worker told me she uses her beach cooler. OK, now we're getting somewhere. I use a Ziploc Big Bag to soak the turkey and covered it with a 20 pound bag of ice. Perfect!! I could easily turn the turkey to make sure all sides were evenly soaked... The turkey was great! For the Holidays, I make my mashed potatoes in advance and put them in a Ziploc Bag. I fill them up just enough so they lie flat when filled up with the potates. Do not over-fill or they will not heat evenly. Then we we are ready to dinner, I place them on a microwave-safe dish and heat them up in the micro. This saves a lot of time, and they are just as good, if not better.

When making my holiday cookies ahead of time. I stack and freeze in a 1 or 2 gallon Freezer Bags with pieces of waxed or parchment paper between the layers.

I love my mother's sterling silver, but I don't love polishing it. I give it a good polishing every few years before Christmas and after Christmas I store different pieces in Ziploc Bags. This way they are still shiny and ready for company any time.
