Christmas lights without the tangles
Today I was taking down our christmas decorations. I always have a challenge with storing the lights because of them getting tangled and broken when I thought of storing each strand in its own gallon bag. To my surprise each strand fit perfectly and also made organizing each storage box very easy. I liked how well the lights were stored I also put each strand of garland in their own bag. Thank you Ziploc.

Crafts & Hobbies

Organized classrooms
As an elementary school teacher boy do I have a lot of uses for a Ziploc Bag besides the traditional uses. Example: When teaching multiplication I place a specific amount of marbles in each bag and hand them out to a certain amount of kids and have them figure out the total amount. 3 kids with a Ziploc with 5 marbles. How many marbles in all/ And as for storing alphabet letter in you smaller bags or posters in your lager bag what can I say but thank you Ziploc for organizing my classroom and making classes fun! Preventing coffee leaks
My daily commute is via a 2mile bike ride to work. As an avid coffee drinker, I have struggled with an adequate way to get my coffee to work with me, without spilling into my bag. Everyday, for the last 5months, I have put my coffee thermos (which leaks) into a gallon Ziploc Bag. Thanks to this bag, which has held up remarkably well for 5 months of service, my papers and back were spared from spilled coffee.

Use them to start yellow beans in the spring. I palce a damp paper towel with the seeds spread out, close the bag and place it on top of the fridge to get the heat from the back of the fridge. Check them daily to make sure they don't dry out. Great way to kickstart seed.

Ziploc Bags make candymaking a breeze. I just fill a Ziploc Bag with chocolate pieces, toss in the microwave, heat and kneed as needed, and snip a small piece from a corner and squeeze into candymolds, then chill for a neat, no-mess treat.

My niece has been deployed to Iraq and she is using them to keep things such as her IPod. It helps keep the dust and sand from getting into her electronic items. And in such a tight spot they help keep her small belongings organized.

Stem-free grapes
I wash grapes and pick them off the stem so that my children choose them for an easy snack, however I also place a piece of paper towel in the bag with them. They last a long time this way. It also works with tossed salads for a quick meal without the fuss of chopping veggies every time.

Making greeting cards
When I get ideas for making cards but I might not have time to make the project, I put the pieces in a Ziploc Bag with instructions or a website link. When making the same card, I put the "production line" in different Ziploc Bags. I make notes on the outside of each bag with measurements, names of paper colors, etc. Also, after I take a card class, I keep the examples and instructions in a ziploc.

Entertainment in a bag
I do a lot of waiting in the car for my daughter as she attends her lessons, etc. I've learned to always carry two items with me...my Walkman and a book. I used to toss both in my purse before leaving the door, but soon got tired of tanging the headphone cords with my brush or comb. I found that using a bag keeps everything neat, tidy and untangled.

Ready-to-heat mashed potatoes
For the Holidays, I make my mashed potatoes in advance and put them in a Ziploc Bag. I fill them up just enough so they lie flat when filled up with the potates. Do not over-fill or they will not heat evenly. Then we we are ready to dinner, I place them on a microwave-safe dish and heat them up in the micro. This saves a lot of time, and they are just as good, if not better.

Organized kids' outfits
I have 3 small children so sorting laundry is a hassle, much less getting ready in the morning. I've started putting 1 complete outfit in a gallon size Ziploc and it's made my mornings so much easier. I pick out their bag and it's got everything from socks to underwear in it. I then give these clothes to the kids. It makes everything a snap....or should I say I Zip through the morning?
