Several times I have printed out "for sale" signs from my computer only to have them ruined by moisture. This time, after printing them, I put each one in a Ziploc Freezer Bag and taped them to the car windows. The signs stayed in pristine condition for several weeks until the car sold.

Vacuum sealing strawberries and more
I wanted to use a Vacuum Freezer System since I was tired of the mess and hassle of the sucking-with-a-straw system. But the cost was so prohibitive! I found the Ziploc Vacuum Freezer system and was glad to fork over the four bucks. What a simple, convenient product! I just LOVE it. I've put up strawberries and breads and use the bags for block cheese storage in the fridge. I'll carry them with me to the beach and on outings to carry wet clothes!

Keeping cameras dry
Last week, I went rafting on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas. I wanted to take my new digital camera to get some pictures of the river, since it is usually tame enough to tube on. I put my digital camera in a quart size freezer bag inside my purse (which was belted around my waist)because I thought I might get splashed! Never did I think that I would be flipped out of the raft into rough rapids and water over my head. But that's what happened. I am happy to say that I did not drown, and my camera was dry as a bone inside the Ziploc Bag after taking an accidental dive into the raging Guadalupe River! My digital camera is as good as new because Ziploc Bags really do not leak! I don't advise this manuever just to test them, but I'm sold!

Tie-down straps without the tangles
I use gallon Freezer Bags to organize my tie-down straps in my pickup truck. Normally they become a 'nest of snakes' with hooks on both ends becoming entangled in adjacent straps etc. Putting one tie down in each bag allows me to pull out four bags from the storage bin to get four tie downs with no muss, no fuss.

No-mess hamburger patties
My favorite use for Ziploc Sandwich Bags is to use them to make individual hamburger patties and store them in the freezer. I insert about 1/4 lb. of ground beef in a Ziploc Sandwich Bag, squeeze out the air, and seal. Then working from the outside of the bag, I roll the beef into a ball, then gently flatten it out. The pattie forms inside the bag, my hands stay clean, and it is sealed and ready for the freezer in seconds! Since we don't store the patties for very long in the freezer, the Ziploc Sandwich Bags offer plenty of protection; however, one could use Ziploc Freezer Bags instead.
