Organized nails
I use the sandwich sized bags to store small lots of nails. I punch a hole in the left top of a bag and then hang it on a peg on a pegboard. The nails are then visible, accessible, and remain rust-free. No more tin can scramble to find the right nail for the job. Ziploc saves the day!

Keeping the sand out

Keeping photos handy

Organized receipts
I use one Ziploc Sandwich Bag each month to store that months receipts. I mark on that bag the month and year (Jan. 09 etc.) and at the end of the year I place all 12 bags into a gallon size Ziploc Bag and mark on that bag the year.

Garbage without the smell

Tie-down straps without the tangles
I use gallon Freezer Bags to organize my tie-down straps in my pickup truck. Normally they become a 'nest of snakes' with hooks on both ends becoming entangled in adjacent straps etc. Putting one tie down in each bag allows me to pull out four bags from the storage bin to get four tie downs with no muss, no fuss.

Easy-to-find owner's manuals
When I buy a new cell phone, TV, computer, game system, etc., I put all of the paperwork, receipts, instruction manuals in a large freezer bag and label it.
