Recently we celebrated the Week of the Young Child in our community. We used the Ziploc Sandwich Bags and the kids made a project. We used duct tape on the side that didn't zip and used three bags to hold them together like a small scrap book. The kids drew pictures, about their family and inserted in each page. Kids loved it and were very creative.

Jewelry Storage: I collect a lot of costume jewelry and I needed a way to keep them clean, color coded and categorized. Being able to see through the bags is great because I can keep my sets and individual pieces organized very easily.

I use the bags to hold my beads and beading wire to make jewelry. They work well and are inexpensive. I also use the clear hard plastic containers for office supplies.

I use the sandwich sized bags to store small lots of nails. I punch a hole in the left top of a bag and then hang it on a peg on a pegboard. The nails are then visible, accessible, and remain rust-free. No more tin can scramble to find the right nail for the job. Ziploc saves the day!

I always place a sandwich baggie over my hand before greasing a pan(such as a 9X13 pan), or before spreading cake/cookie/bar dough in a pan. Many cake, casserole and other recipes call for the pan to be greased. Many other recipes ask for you to smooth the mixture out in the pan.Place the baggie over your hand, grease the pan,then pull the baggie off when done so the greased part is now on the inside of the baggie. Same when spreading a sticky or doughy mixture, Then throw the baggie away and call it good! No fuss, no muss!

After I buy a box of Ziploc Bags, I use permanent markers to write encouraging messages to my kids. I use the written bags to pack lunches. My kids love reading the "notes" from home, and I don't have to waste any paper. Sometimes my artistic husband gets in on the game by adding pictures or decorations!

We find the the sandwich bags are just the right size to carry with us when we take our Basenjis for a walk. They turn inside out right over our hand, we can pick up after the dogs, pull the bags off of our hands and zip it closed. Unlike the other walkers who are carrying big grocery bags, ours are compact and sealed. Thank you for the convenience.

Place ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc. in separate Ziploc Bags. This saves space in the cooler instead of having to cart around large containers of each, but the best part is that when you are ready to use, simply snip off a small piece of a corner and squeeze onto your food item. If you need to reseal while at an event, make sure you have a few of the butterfly clips on hand. You can get them from any office supply store.

To keep erasers from drying out and becoming hard and useless, store them in a Ziploc Bag. I am an artist and have many kinds of erasers. They stay useable for several years instead of a few months if i keep them in a Ziploc Bag.

When taking a sandwich for lunch, I put my pickles and tomato slices in a snack size Ziploc. The bread and meat go in a sandwich bag. I add the veggies right before I eat, thus no soggy sandwich.

My favorite use for Ziploc Sandwich Bags is to use them to make individual hamburger patties and store them in the freezer. I insert about 1/4 lb. of ground beef in a Ziploc Sandwich Bag, squeeze out the air, and seal. Then working from the outside of the bag, I roll the beef into a ball, then gently flatten it out. The pattie forms inside the bag, my hands stay clean, and it is sealed and ready for the freezer in seconds! Since we don't store the patties for very long in the freezer, the Ziploc Sandwich Bags offer plenty of protection; however, one could use Ziploc Freezer Bags instead.

I buy snack items in large quantities at a warehouse type store to save money. Before using Ziploc bags, I found I wasn't saving money because often the product would go stale before we used it all. Now, I pre-bag the snacks and seal them up, place it in a storage containers and my children can quickly grab their own snack or pack their own lunch.

I do a lot of crafts with lace and ribbon. I find the snack size Ziploc bags are great for storing yardage of gathered and flat lace.Just roll the lace around your hand and place inside bag. Keeps it neatly roll and clean at the same time. The sandwich sizes I use for three and four inch eyelet lace.

I use the snack bags for my medications when we are traveling. Instead of carrying a lot of bottles, I put what I need to take in a snack bag and then I can just throw it out when I'm done. I do that with morning, evening, and bedtime medications. Then I know if I've taken what I am suppose to everyday.
